Submitting a screen shot with your Zendesk ticket can expedite support results!

Steps for a Laptop

Have on screen or display what you want to communicate with the technician and perform the following steps:

1)  Press and hold the Fn (Second key on the bottom left hand side of the keyboard) and tap the Prnt Scrn key and release both keys. This will capture what is displayed on screen to your clipboard.

2)  Open Word, and either press and hold the Ctrl key and tap the V key, this is the keyboard shortcut for pasting what is in your clipboard. Save the document and remember where you saved it, as you will need it in the next step.

3)  Attach the file to your Zendesk ticket and you are done.

Steps for a Regular Keyboard or Desktop

 Have on screen or display what you want to communicate with the technician and perform the following steps:

1)  Press and hold the Alt and tap the Prnt Scrn key and release both keys. This will capture what is displayed on screen to your clipboard.

2)  Open Word, and either press and hold the Ctrl key and tap the V key, this is the keyboard shortcut for pasting what is in your clipboard. Save the document and remember where you saved it, as you will need it in the next step.

3)  Attach the file to your Zendesk ticket and you are done.

Steps for Iphone Screen Shots

On your Iphone please have the information you wish to communicate with the technician and perform the following steps:

1) Press and hold the home button and sleep/wake button at the same time for 3 seconds from the desired screen where you want to save a screenshot.

2)  Open your Photos on your phone, and make sure your screen shot saved properly, if not perform steps 1 again. If your picture is saved properly, then proceed to step 3.

3)  Open MaaS360 and proceed to your email on your phone.

4)  Create a New email, (Selecting the pencil icon on the bottom right of the screen)

5)  Address the email to yourself

6)  On the same line as the subject, there is a paper clip icon Select it, You are going to attach the picture of your screen to the email.

7)  It will ask which kind of file to attach, Select Photo Library, then select the appropriate photo.

8)  Email the photo, when it arrives on your computer.

9)  Attach the file to the Zendesk Ticket.

    FYI my laptop doesn't follow this. The FN button held with PrtScr button turns the airplane mode on. All I have to do is press the PrtScr and paste it to word. Just wanted to let others know just in case they have the same laptop as me. Dell Latitude 7490.
